Diploma Details

Course Title: EduQual Diploma in Implant Dentistry 
Institution: RipeGlobal
Cost: TBC
Duration: 2 years from the start of the course to complete all requirements.
Accreditation Level: EduQual SCFQ Level 11 Graduate Diploma

 

Course Completion Criteria:


Fellowship Lectures and Quizzes:

  • Requirement: Completion of all fellowship lectures.

  • Assessment: Passing all associated quizzes to demonstrate understanding and retention of lecture content.

 

Hands-On Training and Assessments:

  • Requirement: Attendance and active participation in all hands-on sessions.

  • Assessment: Achieving a passing mark in all practical coursework. Exceptions for live attendance may be made under exceptional circumstances; however, the coursework must still be completed independently by the student in their own time and submitted for assessment with in 2 weeks of the original date. Additional fees may apply if student does not pass the hands on and a follow up session is required.

     

Case Assessments:

  • Requirement: Completion of all case assessments within a 2-year period starting from the enrollment date.

  • Assessment: All case assessments must be completed with a passing grade, demonstrating proficiency and application of theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios. Students are able to resubmit failed assessments following their review to obtain a new grade. 2 re-submissions are allowed per assessment or additional marking fees may be charged.

 

Additional Learning Resources:

  • Requirement: Completion of all additional recommended video lectures on the RipeGlobal platform

  • Assessment: Engagement and completion tracked to ensure all supplementary material is reviewed.

 

Journal Articles and Textbook Reviews:

  • Requirement: Review and reading of all additional journal articles and recommended textbooks as required to deepen understanding and knowledge application. Students are encouraged to track and reflect their reading of the supplementary material.

 

Community and Peer Interaction:

  • Requirement: Active contribution to study clubs, community chats, and case guidance sessions.

  • Assessment: Contributions and interactions are tracked to assess engagement and collaborative learning among peers.

 

Course Delivery and Evaluation:

  • The course combines various educational methodologies, including interactive lectures, case presentations, virtual live simulation training, and study club and forum based guidance sessions to ensure a comprehensive learning experience that is both practical and applicable in a general practice setting.

  • Each unit within the course aligns with specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria that focus on the systematic application of restorative techniques, critical evaluation of treatment plans, and effective patient communication and management.

  • Students are expected to critically analyze their performance and outcomes, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices and continuous personal and professional development.

 

Live Patient Implant Internship


As part of the Fellowship in Modern Implantology, you will take part in a 5-day live patient internship in Volta Redonda, Brazil.
This hands-on clinical experience is designed to help you apply what you have learned in a real-world setting, with the opportunity to place up to 20 implants on live patients under expert supervision.
Across the internship, you will build practical surgical confidence and develop skills in:

  • Implant placement

     

  • Incisions and suturing

     

  • Flap management

     

  • Osteotomies

     

  • Tissue manipulation

     

  • Wound closure

     

  • Bleeding management

     

  • PRF membranes

     

  • Minor bone grafting, where cases allow

     

  • Crestal sinus lifts, where cases allow

     

  • Impacted teeth extraction and related techniques


The internship takes place over 5 days, excluding travel, in a state-of-the-art training facility in Brazil.

November 23 to 27, 2026

 

Live In Person Patient Implant Component:

  • Requirement: Attendance and active participation at the clinical location. The completion of a 1- week live patient implant component is required during the 2- year program. It is encouraged that this is wit in the first year of the course

  • Assessment: All Live implant cases will be logged, and 10 will be used for the implant log. Participants complete a self- assessment for their week- long program and this, in combination of over the shoulder assesment, produces their graded score for the Live patient component. A failure to pass will require an additional Implant Live week to be purchased at additional costs 

 

Additional Notes:

  • Students are required to maintain a proactive approach to learning, continually seeking feedback and opportunities for improvement to meet the rigorous standards of the diploma.

  • The course structure and requirements are designed to prepare students not only for practical application but also for leadership roles in dental practice by enhancing decision-making capabilities and technical proficiency in complex restorative procedures.
