What Case Guidance Actually Looks Like

with Dr Marcela Duran and Dr Ashley Chung

Knowing what to do clinically is one thing.

Knowing how to think through a real case, ask the right questions, and build confidence in your decision-making is where things often start to shift.

Join Dr Marcela Duran and Dr Ashley Chung for a free live case guidance masterclass, where they will walk through a real student case together and unpack the clinical thinking behind it.

This will be a relaxed, practical discussion showing what case guidance can look like inside RipeGlobal, and how guided feedback can help dentists approach diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical decision-making with more clarity.

You will see how an experienced mentor reviews a case, what details are considered, and how student questions can open up stronger, more structured clinical thinking.

By the end of this session, you will understand how to:

• Approach a real clinical case with more structure

• Identify the key details that matter when reviewing a case

• Understand how guided feedback supports clinical decision-making

• Think through treatment options with more clarity

• Ask better clinical questions when planning care

• See how mentor support can help build confidence

• Get a clearer look at what case guidance can involve inside RipeGlobal

Case guidance is where so much of the real learning happens. It is not just about being told what to do. It is about slowing down, looking at the details, asking better questions, and understanding the thinking behind each clinical decision. This session is a chance to see that process in action through a real student case.

Anterior Composite: Shape, Polish & Light - Practical Strategies for Predictable Aesthetic Success

with Dr. Sam Cope

Anterior composites rarely fail because of the material. They fail because of shape and light.

Small errors in line angles, contour and surface texture can make restorations look dull or artificial, even when shade and bonding are correct.

In this masterclass, Dr Sam Cope will share a practical framework for controlling shape, polish and light reflection to create natural, predictable anterior composites across different systems.

Clear principles. Repeatable decisions. More consistent aesthetic results.

By the end of this masterclass, you will be able to:

  • Identify why anterior composites look dull or unnatural

  • Control light reflection through shape and surface design

  • Improve polish and finishing for long-term aesthetics

  • Achieve faster, more consistent outcomes

“Early in my career, I believed aesthetic success came from using the ‘right’ composite or layering technique. Yet despite good bonding and accurate shade selection, some restorations still looked dull or unnatural. The turning point came when I shifted my focus from materials to shape, surface texture and light interaction. By simplifying my approach and understanding why restorations looked wrong, my results became far more predictable and efficient. This lecture reflects those lessons from practice and teaching.”
