Yes. This is a 1 Day Course that includes a live online simulation training day where you will complete multiple crown preparation exercises on a phantom head. The exercises are designed to build bur control, hand skills, muscle memory, efficiency and consistency under realistic clinical pressure.
Yes. Participants should have basic restorative competence and ideally have placed crowns in practice before. This course is designed to refine and systemise existing crown preparation skills rather than teach crown preparations completely from scratch.
Yes. During the live online simulation training, educators provide feedback throughout the day to help you identify strengths, address weaknesses and improve your preparation technique. You will also submit clinical simulation photographs for review and feedback.
This course is delivered online. It combines self-paced online lecture content with a live online simulation training day, where participants complete practical exercises and receive real-time guidance and feedback from educators.
You will need access to a manikin and complete typodont, a camera or quality smartphone for submitting photographs, mirrors, a computer with internet access, charged headphones and the instruments, materials and consumables you would normally use for crown preparation, provisionalisation and core build-ups.
Participants can rent the required manikin and typodont from RipeGlobal, or choose to purchase them outright for an additional cost.
The live online simulation training session runs for 8 hours. Participants are also encouraged to complete the online lecture content beforehand so they can get the most out of the practical training day.
