By the end of the course, you will be able to design more predictable, bondable posterior onlay and overlay preparations with appropriate reduction and finish line design. You will also build confidence with posterior rubber dam isolation, adhesive cementation protocols, material selection and treatment planning posterior indirect cases with an “onlay-first” mindset when clinically appropriate.
Yes. During the live online simulation training, educators provide feedback throughout the session to help you refine your preparation technique and clinical decision-making. You will also submit simulation photographs for review and personalised feedback.
This course is delivered online. It combines self-paced online lecture content with a live online simulation training session, where participants complete practical exercises and receive real-time guidance and feedback from educators.
You will need access to a manikin and complete typodont, a camera or quality smartphone for submitting photographs, mirrors, a computer with internet access, charged headphones and the instruments, materials and consumables you would normally use for indirect restorative procedures, provisionalisation and adhesive workflows.
Participants can rent the required manikin and typodont from RipeGlobal, or choose to purchase them outright for an additional cost.
The live online simulation training session runs for 8 hours. Participants are also encouraged to complete the online lecture content beforehand, particularly the material science, rubber dam and cementation content, so they can get the most out of the practical training session.
