Educator Dr Michael Frazis

Dr Michael Frazis is RipeGlobal’s Head of Education and one of the key architects behind the Rapid Efficient Treatment Planning (RETP) framework. A practicing dentist with a passion for simplifying complex clinical decision-making, Michael has worked closely with Dr Lincoln Harris and RipeGlobal’s global faculty to develop education that bridges the gap between clinical excellence and patient communication.

With more than a decade of experience in advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry, Dr Frazis is known for his clear, practical teaching style and his ability to turn complicated treatment plans into confident, patient-focused conversations. I feel like this course has changed my life, I know it's early days, but yesterday and today I feel much less tired psychologically, as tx planning seems so much simpler, and I stopped stressing about making the "perfect decision", all that load off my shoulders! The perfectionism was burning me out.

I did an emax only prep rather than crown (felt the fear and did it anyway), I took digital impressions (fumbled abit but got better!). I used to pride myself in being "cautious"...but I want to learn faster now, I feel like I've got permission to get it wrong, as it will go wrong at some point regardless.

After the course, I feel so much confidence in treatment planning and no longer feel guilty offering private options to all patients knowing that it too can be an ethical approach. I'm a lot more aware of the tone of my voice when delivering a treatment plan and how that may affect how the pt proceeds.

Something interesting my pt said today, he's been in this city for 30 years, switched 13 different dentists, and all he's ever been offered was to be "patched up".

His eyes lit up when I recommended we look at a comprehensive tx plan to include replacement, restoring and straightening.

It makes me wonder how many of those 13 dentists were likely very capable of delivering good dentistry, but only offered what they thought the pt can afford/ what the NHS can afford/ their own financial limitations!
