Shade matching is one of the most challenging aspects of general dentistry but a lot of dentists either leave it up to their lab to guess what “please make A3 crown” means or settle for whatever shade the lab sends back regardless of the end result.

A lot of the time this comes from an inexperience in how to take a proper shade or how to troubleshoot any issues that might occur. 

This video will take you from start to finish in taking a shade. You will learn:

• Using photography to show or hide anatomy features

• Converting a standard #D shade guide into a linear shade guide

We will also put the chosen colour into practice and make a resin veneer free hand as well as going through some polishing and anatomy tips and tricks.
