Golf dentistry - Compete against yourself

When I graduated, my lecturers had me convinced that I was about to be unleashed with cutting edge knowledge.

I wouldn't be doing the radical caries free that could result in you getting a pulp exposure and thus failing your clinical. I would instead be doing the (far more technically difficult) indirect pulp cap,

This is often why decision making in bureaucracies is so slow: checklists have to created and
completed. Scores are weighed and tallied. This official and meticulous looking process then helps arrive at a well documented decision which is justified by external data.

In many cases, it is doubtful how much this removes human tendency for biased, or emotion judgement.

  • It's simple in concept, but not always easy to achieve.
